Kidderminster
Harriers have signed midfielder Kyle Storer from Nuneaton Town on
a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee. The
24-year-old netted 16 times for Nuneaton last season.
Harriers assistant manager Gary Whild told

sought after - that has been well documented.

have swooped to sign striker, Alex Steadman
from Mickleover Sports. Manager Charlie Blakemore
has been a long term admirer of the 24-year old wide man. Steadman has led
the goalscoring charts for the last two seasons at Mickleover scoring 19
goals last season. His previous clubs include Long Eaton United and Belper
Town. Blakemore commented: "I tried to sign
Alex three years ago after he played against us in a friendly for Ilkeston
Town. He is quick, hard working and scores goals. He scored 19 goals last
season from a wide left position and this is an area I wanted to strengthen.
He is a great signing for us as we now have excellent attacking options in

News: Isabel Tompsett, has started to show signs of
significant improvement at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge following her
horrific fall at Fakenham three weeks ago. Isabel
had an MRI scan on Thursday and the results received yesterday were better
than had been anticipated. Her
mother Bridget said Isabel has improved greatly in
terms of her general alertness and certainly she is far more aware of what
is happening around her." Mrs Tompsett commented:
"We at last have reason to be hopeful and it seems as though the three week
milestone is a bit of a turning point as it was with Peter Toole and Richard
Hawkins. | ||||||

Town have appointed Francis Vines as their new manager. Vines,
49, has extensive managerial experience, which includes lifting the Southern
League Premier Division title with Crawley Town in 2004. He came within a
point of achieving the same feat while in charge at Farnborough in 2009 and
most recently, he had a spell in charge at Ryman League Premier Carshalton
Athletic. He succeeds Ady Williams who quit the Southern League South & West
Division outfit last month to concentrate on a new career. Vines said:
“Didcot Town has great potential and I’m looking forward to achieving
success during what I regard is an exciting project.”

Isabel
Tompsett is showing signs of slight improvement after her bad fall at
Fakenham on Sunday. Although she remains in an
unconscious state in Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, she is no longer
receiving any medical sedation. And while she is
breathing through a ventilator she is now able to make some attempt at
breathing herself. Lisa Hancock, chief executive
of the Injured Jockeys Fund, said: "The family were able to have a lengthy
conversation with one of Isabel's doctors this afternoon and were reassured
to hear that she is showing some positive signs.
"She is able to move all her limbs independently | ||||||

Doctors
are confident amateur rider Isabel Tompsett has sustained no serious
neck or spinal injuries following her bad fall at Fakenham on Sunday.
Jockeys Fund chief executive Lisa Hancock reports no significant
change in her condition and she remains stable.
"Isabel appears slightly more comfortable as the doctors are confident that
she has no neck or spinal injury and as such have been able to remove her
neck brace," said Hancock. "She is still heavily
sedated and there is likely to be no change of any significance in the next
48 to 72 hours."

taken to Norwich and Norfolk University Hospital following a horrible fall
at Fakenham on Sunday. Tompsett was riding Leopold
for trainer David Thompson in the Aylsham Show - Bank Holiday 29th August
Lady Amateur Riders' Handicap Hurdle when she crashed out at the third
flight. She was unconscious and though an air
ambulance was called, she was taken to hospital in a normal ambulance.
