Welcome to The SOCCER X  Website

ront5

Soccer X is seeking to make a difference regards both charities and the wider community. We received a request from a football supporter some weeks ago asking us to arrange a charity match to raise funds for a new cancer unit in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Of course we agreed and a SOCCER X X1, featureing Paul Devlin, Tony Thorpe, Dennis Bailey and others, will play at Banbury United on Sunday 27th, 3pm Kick off. If you've a cause that needs supporting, then feel free to write to Soccer X. We'll do all we can to offer support, which we can be done via video, or if you want Soccer X to arrange a game for you, we'll do our best to help.

We've sought to give fans all over the Midlands, and beyond, a chance to really keep in touch with not just results but to view games via VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS and gain more personal access to their favourite players and managers via VIDEO INTERVIEWS. We've also set out to offer young media journalists, Like Karen Patel, of Perry Bar University, the chance to get hands on experience at Video Interiewing and conventional reporting. We're seeking to develop this aspect and are currently in discussions with universities around the Midlands.  Tony Thorpe, along with Tara Skelding are recent recruits to the Soccer X team. Tony, will host his Friday with Thorpey spot each week. Already, the ace striker, who has been purchased for a Million pounds by both Fulham & Bristol City, as well as enjoying successful spells at QPR & Luton Town, has interviewed Kevin Gallen, Julian Joachim, Dennis Bailey.

The response and co-operation from football clubs at semi professional and professional, has been fantastic, Without their endorsement we'd not be able to progess. We've also set out to make the site unique in its altruistic aspect. We've raised nearly £1000 in shirt auctions since our inception 18 months ago. Jayne Cromwell of the Mental Health Foundation, is delighted with the support we've given their charity.

We're also, this spring and summer, arranging charity football matches with a view to helping other charities as well as the MHF. We feel sport should and could do a lot more to help those too often left to suffer in silence.

CHASE5

We've also   had terrific support from people like Stan Collymore, David Kelly, Tony Thorpe, Scott Oakes and other professionals who all wish to particpate in the charity matches this coming spring. We've other innovative concepts in mind that will hopefully contribute to the game at grassroots and semi pro levels.

Mick Canning, a fanatical Wolves supporter, has already featured on the site via audio and video. Mick was also a great mentor to Gordon Ramsay and they remain good friends. Pic above of Gordon at Mick's home recently. Mick's thoughts and philosophies made fascinating viewing.
