Tony Thorpe, enjoyed a very successful league career that saw two Million pound transfers to Fulham and Bristol City. He enjoyed successful stints at Luton Town, after being signed by David Pleat from Leicester City. Tony, was the real archetypal "fox-in-the-box" striker. Skilful, great vision and a real eye for goal that saw a one in two game scoring ratio. Tony, has joined Soccer X and is a terrfic signing for the site. TALOR CHALLENGE ACCIDENTAL

The furore surrounding the Mart Taylor challenge on Eduardo, that resulted in the talented Gunner, being sidelined for some considerable time, has thankfully subsided. In my opinion, this was no way malicious or premeditated. Taylor, being such a tall guy, would obviously find quick-footed talented guys likes Eduado hard to handle. He was done for pace and his challenge clumsy and late. To suggest it was intended, as Arsen Wenger originally implied, does himself or football in general, no favours at all. Thankfully, due to the physical element of football being reduced, we don't have to witness such horrific injuries. Everyone in football wishes Eduado a speedy recovery and i'm sure he'll return to realise the fantastic potential he possesses.
